Accessibility statement

If this site stops you doing something, that is a defect in the site. Please report it and it gets fixed.

What we are aiming for

This website targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That target shapes how it is built rather than being checked at the end.

What that means in practice

Every page works with JavaScript disabled. Navigation, headings, copy and the “coming soon” states are plain HTML; search, filters and the mobile menu are enhancements on top.
A skip-to-content link is the first thing keyboard and screen-reader users reach.
Everything interactive is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a focus outline that is never removed.
Semantic landmarks and a single, ordered heading structure on every page.
Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
Status is never conveyed by colour alone - every coloured pill also carries a word.
Text and background contrast is checked against the AA thresholds before a colour is used.
Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
The layout works from 320 pixels wide upwards without horizontal scrolling.
Motion is minimal and stops entirely when your system requests reduced motion.
No autoplaying media, no popups, no scroll hijacking, no cookie banner.

What has and has not been tested

This is a first-pass website. It has been checked with keyboard navigation, automated contrast checking and structural review across mobile and desktop widths. It has not yet been through a formal audit or testing with a broad range of assistive technologies and users. We are not going to describe it as conformant until that has happened.

Known limitations

Site search, catalogue filters and the mobile menu require JavaScript. Without it, the same content remains reachable through ordinary links.
If products, guides or firmware profiles are added later, their listings are rendered by JavaScript; the designed “nothing published yet” state is what appears without it.
The display typefaces used for the wordmark and headings cover Basic Latin only. Other characters fall back to your system font, which is a visual difference, not a loss of meaning.

Third-party services

Shopping and checkout happen on Shopify, and source code will later be on GitHub. Those are separate services with their own accessibility statements, and their behaviour is outside our control - but if one of them blocks you while buying our hardware, tell us anyway.
