First boards are on the bench

No hardware is for sale yet. When a board is finished it will appear here with its price, its documentation, its firmware profiles and a link to buy it - and not one minute before.

Standards

What makes Koala hardware different?

These are the rules we are holding ourselves to. They are commitments about how a product is made and documented - not claims about test results we have not run.

It is meant to be reprogrammed

Exposed programming and debug interfaces, a documented way to recover a bricked board, and no lock-out between you and the microcontroller you paid for.

The documentation ships with it

A published pinout, a schematic-level description of what is connected to what, the voltage and current limits that matter, and the known rough edges.

Software keeps it useful

Firmware profiles give one board several genuinely different jobs, so a board bought for one project can be redirected to the next one instead of retired.

It is designed to be worked on

Parts you can reach, connectors instead of glue where it is practical, silkscreen you can actually read, and notes on which components are replaceable.

Revisions are tracked in the open

Board revisions get published notes. If revision B behaves differently from revision A, that difference is written down rather than discovered by you.

No claims we cannot back

No invented specifications, no borrowed certifications, no environmental numbers without a source. If a figure is not on this site, it is because we do not have it yet.

Buying happens on Shopify

Checkout, payment, stock and shipping are handled by our Shopify store. This site links out to it; it does not run a cart, an account system or an order lookup of its own.
